    All of our pathway courses include pre-reading materials before attending the centre for practical training on relevant, entry level aesthetic treatments. 

    • Pathway One - Needle Free

      COURSE DETAILS

      Our Pathway to Aesthetics - Needle Free is a pathway course designed to include a combination of advanced skin care courses that don't break the skin. Whilst this will be a factor that you are likely to consider or be required to undertake later, this is a perfect way to build skills and confidence without breaking the skin until you are ready to do so. It is designed to progress you through the advanced training allowing you to offer a range of services to your clients safely and confidently, including skin needling, peels and injectables.


      The course cannot be completed in less than 6 months, however, can be flexibly planned around your busy lifestyle.


      Qualifications included in this pathway are:

      • L3 Award in Anatomical and Physiological Knowledge of Body Systems - A comprehensive look at the major body systems, how they work together and link to keep our body functioning effectively. There is an exam associated with this course.
      • Facial Skin Care - because we care about your foundations! This course will give you an insight into basic skin care and skin care treatments (2 practical days training)
      • Facial Electrotherapy - Covering galvanic, high frequency, microdermabrasion, vacuum suction, lymphatic drainage and EMS (4 practical days training)
      • Dermaplaning - learn how to give that glow. The perfect treatment to keep your clients returning (1 practical day training)
      • Regulated route only - Expect a minimum of 3 days practical assessment

      Upon completion, you will be able to move straight into your aesthetics courses such as foundation dermal filler, or foundation Botulinum Toxin.


      COURSE STRUCTURE

      Online Theory Study 


      You will gain access to the pre-course materials on our training platform. It is essential to complete the learning material prior to coming into the academy for your practical training. The online theory is essential to equip you with the knowledge that you will need to perform the procedure safely and correctly on the training day. Once you have completed the online elements, you will be invited to choose from a selection of dates to visit the centre to carry out practical sessions where you will be with a qualified and approved tutor, and able to get hands-on with your services. 


      What's the difference between the Accredited or the Regulated Pathway? 

      Ofqual regulate qualifications to ensure a high national standard has been achieved. They set approve an awarding organisations content and assessment on a set qualification, and this in turn offers yourself, your clients/customers, insurers, licencing and professional bodies peace of mind that you have been trained to a high and safe standard. 


      Accredited courses will still allow you to get insured with some insurers, however, as the standard and content of an accredited course is set by the training provider (and not regulated by the government) this is less favourable in many situations.


      Course Length 

      The length of the course is a minimum of 10 weeks, subject to your own study pace; however, we do advise that the course be spread over a minimum of 6 months. 


      The practical training days, can be booked to fit in around your diary, once a theory element has been completed, and we advise these are staggered throughout your training package.


      You will receive your certification upon completion of the training and case studies (accredited) or assessments (regulated). 


      Treatments will be carried out on models, if you wish to have the treatment carried out on yourself, you must let us know upon booking. 


      You may be required to provide your own models. If this is a problem, you must let us know upon booking.

    • Pathway Two - Skin Rejuvenation

      COURSE DETAILS

      Our Pathway to Aesthetics - Skin Rejuvenation is a pathway course designed to include a combination of entry level aesthetics courses that prepare you for more invasive skin treatments. It is designed to progress you through the advanced training allowing you to offer a range of services to your clients safely and confidently, including deeper skin needling and peels, dermal fillers and botox.


      The course cannot be completed in less than 6 months, however, can be flexibly planned around your busy lifestyle.


      Qualifications included in this pathway are:

      • L3 Award in Anatomical and Physiological Knowledge of Body Systems - A comprehensive look at the major body systems, how they work together and link to keep our body functioning effectively. There is an exam associated with this course.
      • Facial Skin Care - because we care about your foundations! This course will give you an insight into basic skin care and skin care treatments (2 practical days training)
      • Microneedling - Covering 2 types of needling!! Dermarolling and automatic (machine) needling. The depth of needling is limited to 0.5mm on the face and 1mm on the body. (1 practical day training)
      • Superficial Chemical Peels - How to select, apply and safely remove superficial chemical peel formulas to improve skin condition (1 practical day training)
      • Dermaplaning - learn how to give that glow. The perfect treatment to keep your clients returning (1 practical day training)
      • Regulated route only - Expect a minimum of 4 days practical assessment

      Upon completion, you will be able to move straight into your aesthetics courses such as foundation dermal filler, or foundation Botulinum Toxin.

    • Pathway Three - Aesthetic Practice

      COURSE DETAILS

      Our Pathway to Aesthetics - Aesthetic Practice is a pathway course designed to include a combination of aesthetics courses that prepare you for more invasive skin treatments. It is designed to progress you through to Level 5 Aesthetic Practice allowing you to offer a range of services to your clients safely and confidently, including deeper skin needling and peels, dermal fillers and botox.


      On completion of this course, you will have the neccesary qualifications to access Qualifi Level 5 Certificate in Aesthetic Practice as an RPL learner.


      The course cannot be completed in less than 6 months, however, can be flexibly planned around your busy lifestyle.


      Qualifications included in this pathway are:

      • L3 Award in Anatomical and Physiological Knowledge of Body Systems - A comprehensive look at the major body systems, how they work together and link to keep our body functioning effectively. There is an exam associated with this course.
      • L4 Certificate in Anatomy and Physiology for Aesthetic Practice - The Certificate provides learners with the knowledge and understanding of Anatomy and Physiology, focusing on the science to support the judgments and choices made routinely by practising aestheticians. The Certificate will enable learners to work independently and intuitively, with science at the core of the decision- making process. 
      • Facial Skin Care - because we care about your foundations! This course will give you an insight into basic skin care and skin care treatments (2 practical days training)
      • Skin Needling - Our course covers 3 methods of needling, on the face and body, at a depth of 1-1.5mm on the face and 1.5-2mm on the body. We focus on needling with the use of a digital machine, covering cartridges, depth and skin healing throughout. We also introduce dermarolling on the body, along with the stamping method. This ensures you are able to determine the correct equipment, depth and techniques to meet your clients needs, improving skin texture, reducing scars and for general skin improvement (1 practical training day)
      • Chemical Peels - How to select, apply and safely remove medium grade peel formulas to improve skin condition (1 practical day training)
      • Dermaplaning - learn how to give that glow. The perfect treatment to keep your clients returning (1 practical day training)
      • Regulated route only - Expect a minimum of 4 days practical assessment

      In addition to the oneday course - if you select the regulated route, you will be required to attend the centre to carry out clinical case studies, and you will be required to submit written assignments,  return for an exam, and complete multiple practical assessments prior to certification. 


      PRE-REQUISITES

      You must hold level 3 beauty or above to be able to enrol on this course. A regulated L3 Anatomical and Physiological Knowledge of Body Systems is a widely accepted pre-requisite, however, you should check with your insurance company to ensure they will accept this qualification prior to booking.

      COURSE DETAILS

      Our course is a blended learning course, which does allow for experienced aesthetic practitioners, or for those new to aesthetic treatments


      COURSE CONTENT & STRUCTURE

      The rationale of the programme is to provide a career path for learners who wish to develop their aesthetic practice capabilities within the health and aesthetic sector. The expected outcome of the Certificate, which is the achievement of a recognised UK qualification, is for learners to develop the skills required by organisations and the aesthetic industry globally.


      This qualification will prepare learners for employment and support a range of roles in the workplace. This qualification provides a specialist work-related programme of study that provides breadth and depth of knowledge and understanding, along with practical skills required in the aesthetics sector. This qualification will help to prepare professional staff and managers of the future in the aesthetics sector. This qualification provides a generic core of mandatory units that apply in all aesthetics contexts.


      The theory element of this course will be delivered online PRIOR to attendance. Essential information will be recapped during the course, and you will have access to discuss any queries with a tutor throughout the online learning process.


      The qualification includes 5 units:

      • Legal and Regulatory Requirements in Aesthetic Practice
      • Professional Standards within Aesthetic Practice
      • Working Collaboratively with Healthcare Professionals
      • Anatomy, Physiology and Morphology of the Ageing Face
      • Skin Micro-needling and Chemical Peels. 

      Our blended learning package includes - 

      • Online teaching resources that can be accessed 24/7, allowing flexibility during the short answer questions and assignment stage
      • Online Q&A sessions, led by our qualified tutors, covering the content required within the short answer questions and assignments
      • A range of flexible practical and assessment dates in our licenced and insured training venue in Colchester, Essex. 
      • The programme set up is flexible to suit your pace and competence level, however some considerations to make include
      • Short answer questions, and assignments must be completed prior to practical work or assessments. 
      • Assignments must be Harvard Referenced, and have a minimum word count

      Recognised Prior Learning (RPL Claims)

      If you already hold a previous Skin Needling or Chemical Peel qualification, we may be able to reduce the training, and move straight into assessment. Your skills and evidence must be validated with evidence of current practice and submitted upon enrolment.

      If you have a valid RPL claim, you will still be asked to submit 12 case studies (4 manual needling treatments, 4 mechanical needling treatments and 4 skin peeling treatments) to show current competencies. This will include submission of client's medical history information, along with before and after photos. This is to ensure that you are at a level suitable for assessment prior to booking your assessment days.


      If you do not hold any RPL, there are 12 case studies to complete, prior to assessments. These will be comprised of 4 manual needling treatments, 4 mechanical needling treatments and 4 skin peeling treatments. 

      There is a specific process for the submission of case studies, which will be shared during induction.

      You will be given 12 months to complete the qualification from date of INDUCTION.

      After submission of your current evidence and your fee, you will be registered with an Ofqual regulated Awarding Organisation, and we will book an assessment session and open you an online portfolio. You will be required to complete and submit:


      • A written assignment 
      • one case study (any area)
