Facial Skin Care Course - Professional Beauty Direct Accredited
Learn the basics of skin care in our 2 day starter course – covering skin types, conditions and how to treat them using products. The facial routine includes cleansing, toning, face masks, heat treatments, extractions, facial massage and moisturising
The theory element of this course will be delivered online PRIOR to attendance. Essential information will be recapped during the course, and you will have access to discuss any queries with a tutor throughout the online learning process.
This 2 day training course will ensure you have the knowledge and skills to complete a range of facial skin care treatments, equivalent to the L2 standards. Both sessions will involve practice on a live model (We do all we can to supply models for these dates however you may be asked to support this where necessary).
Session 1 –
Intro to facials, skin types, skin conditions and contra-indications. Products – pre care, correct selection and aftercare. Full facial treatment
Session 2 –
Advancing knowledge – masks, specialist products, heat treatments, full facial treatment.
You will be required to submit a minimum of 3 case studies, and 1 knowledge quiz online prior to certification.

The theory element of this course will be delivered online PRIOR to attendance. Essential information will be recapped during the course, and you will have access to discuss any queries with a tutor throughout the online learning process.
This 3 day training course will ensure you have the knowledge and skills to meet the Ofqual regulated unit at Level 2. All sessions will involve practice on a live model (We do all we can to supply models for these dates however you may be asked to support this where necessary), and you will be able to add a kit to your booking so that you are able to complete case studies ahead of day 3.
If you prefer, we can arrange time for you to complete your case studies at the centre, allowing you to invest in your choice of products and kits after you have gained your qualification.
Session 1 –

Practical skill assessment session

You may also be required to sit online/paper based examinations, depending on the awarding organisation that is regulating your qualification. If this is required, this will be scheduled for the end of session 2

Facial Skin Care - Conversion Course
Already hold a facial skin care certificate or experience that you are looking to update, or convert to a regulated qualification? We can help!
You will be required to submit evidence of your current certification or experience, and at least 3 current clients (within the last 3 months) that you treat with facial skin care treatments, and two assignments online prior to attending an assessment session. During the assessment session, you will be required to carry out a minimum of 3 full facial treatments, including working on a range of skin types, and conditions, applying a range of mask treatments, heat treatments and a face, neck and shoulder massage.
You may also be required to sit online/paper based examinations, depending on the awarding organisation that is regulating your qualification. If this is required, this will be scheduled for the start of the assessment session.
One of our qualified assessors will evaluate your application, and inform you of whether you are required to attend a skills evaluation prior to your assessment session. It is important to note that a skills assessment is recommended in every case, as a prior qualification or experience does not guarantee you will be considered competent during your assessment session. Your competency is assessed on performance during your assessment session, along with your supporting assignment and examination where required.
