Electrolysis - Professional Beauty Direct Accredited
Looking to move into permanent hair removal? This staple treatment is fantastic for clients who have had enough of waxing and shaving. Clients with fair hair, and those unsuitable for other methods of permanent hair removal are also are key target market.
The theory element of this course will be delivered online PRIOR to attendance. Essential information will be recapped during the course, and you will have access to discuss any queries with a tutor throughout the online learning process.
This 2 day training course will ensure you have the knowledge and skills to provide electrolysis treatments, equivalent to the L3 standards. Both sessions will involve practice on a live model (We do all we can to supply models for these dates however you may be asked to support this where necessary).
Session 1 –
Intro to electrolysis, safe and effective epilation methods, consultation and treatment planning, product & equipment requirements and aftercare. Treatment of a small area from upper lip, chin or underarm area
Session 2 –
Advancing knowledge – assessment of epilation in wider areas, including bikini line, neck, chest/breast, and face.
You will be required to submit a minimum of 3 case studies, and 1 knowledge quiz online prior to certification.

Electrolysis Course - Ofqual Regulated

This 3 day training course will ensure you have the knowledge and skills to meet the Ofqual regulated unit at Level 3. All sessions will involve practice on a live model (We do all we can to supply models for these dates however you may be asked to support this where necessary), and you will be able to add a kit to your booking so that you are able to complete case studies ahead of session 3.
If you prefer, we can arrange time for you to complete your case studies at the centre, allowing you to invest in your choice of products and kits after you have gained your qualification.
Session 1 –

You may also be required to sit online/paper based examinations, depending on the awarding organisation that is regulating your qualification. If this is required, this will be scheduled for the end of session 2

Electrolysis - Conversion Course
Already hold an electrolysis certificate or experience that you are looking to update, or convert to a regulated qualification? We can help!
You will be required to submit evidence of your current certification or experience, and at least 3 current clients (within the last 3 months) that you treat with electrolysis treatments, and two assignments online prior to attending an assessment session. During the assessment session, you will be required to carry out a minimum of 3 full facial treatments, including working on a range of areas including the face and body using diathermy and blend methods.
You also need to hold a regulated Level 3 in Beauty Therapy (including face or body electricals), or regulated L3 in Anatomy & Physiology to be able to convert your existing skills and knowledge. If you need to gain either of these qualifications, please let us know as we are able to help!
You may also be required to sit online/paper based examinations, depending on the awarding organisation that is regulating your qualification. If this is required, this will be scheduled for the start of the assessment session.
One of our qualified assessors will evaluate your application, and inform you of whether you are required to attend a skills evaluation prior to your assessment session. It is important to note that a skills assessment is recommended in every case, as a prior qualification or experience does not guarantee you will be considered competent during your assessment session. Your competency is assessed on performance during your assessment session, along with your supporting assignment and examination where required.
